Clear rules and honest limits

How the IQ-style assessment works.

The test borrows familiar question formats from cognitive assessment, then uses original content, transparent scoring and plain language about its limits.

Test design

Professional intelligence batteries sample several cognitive abilities. Human Precision follows that broad principle without copying protected items or claiming equivalence to a professional test. The assessment contains 40 questions with a balanced mix of easy, medium and difficult items.

Six reasoning domains

DomainQuestion types
Pattern reasoningMatrices, figure sequences and rule discovery
Logical reasoningDeduction, ordering, conditions and set relations
Spatial reasoningRotation, reflection, folding and mental movement
Quantitative reasoningNumber patterns, ratios, equations and structured problems
Verbal reasoningAnalogies, categories and conceptual relationships
Working memoryShort sequence storage, reversal and reordering

Original question bank

The launch bank contains 58 original items. Each test form selects a balanced mix by domain and difficulty. Friend challenges preserve the same form seed so two people receive the same questions. Human Precision does not reproduce questions from WAIS, Stanford-Binet, Raven, Mensa or another commercial assessment.

How answers are scored

Correct answers earn more points when the item is marked as more difficult. Domain scores show the percentage of available difficulty-weighted points earned in each area. Speed does not add points. An unusually fast completion only adds a caution note because rapid guessing can make a result less trustworthy.

The Reasoning Index

The difficulty-weighted total is converted to a readable index centred near 100. This number is specific to the Human Precision question set. It is not converted into a population percentile and is not presented as a professionally normed IQ score.

The domain profile is more informative than one number. Use the index to compare fresh forms cautiously, then use the six domain scores to understand which question types were strongest or weakest.

What the result cannot tell you

  • It cannot diagnose a learning, attention, developmental or neurological condition.
  • It cannot replace assessment by a qualified psychologist.
  • It cannot be used for Mensa admission, education placement or employment decisions.
  • It does not fully measure creativity, practical judgment, knowledge, motivation or every part of intelligence.
  • Language, culture, disability, test familiarity, fatigue and environment can affect performance.

Privacy and storage

The current static release stores recent results in the browser on the user’s device. No account or email is required. A challenge link contains the shared score and test form seed, but not the user’s name or answers.

Standards that informed the design

The product direction was informed by public guidance on broad cognitive domains, fair digital assessment, score interpretation and test security. Human Precision remains a recreational product and does not claim professional validation.
